–Books of Their Own is a new initiative we began during the fourth quarter. This program gifted books to 1536 children at Christmas time. The $22,537 grant provided books to students attending elementary and middle schools in Alabama, Ohio and New Mexico.
-Our total disbursements for scholarships in the fourth quarter total $218,750. The scholarships were disbursed to 125 students attending Herzing University, Daytona College and City College.
– During the third quarter we continued our partnership with Covenant House by awarding their residents additional scholarships and also a grant to allow them to purchase software and study materials for a GED prep program for their residents. We also funded several of their field trips.
– Our total disbursements for scholarships and grants for this time period is $66,625. The scholarships were disbursed to 36 students. These students are attending Broward College, Northern Arizona University, Andrews University, Weber State University, Georgia Southern University, University of Southern Mississippi, Florida Gulf Coast University, Snow College, and City College.
– This quarter we developed some new partnerships. OMAF awarded two scholarships to students sponsored by Covenant House of Fort Lauderdale, who will attend Broward College. Five thousand dollars were donated to Woodland Lakes Christian Camp and Retreat so that deserving children could attend summer camp.
– Scholarships were disbursed to students attending Daytona College, Andrews University and City College. Total disbursements of scholarships and grants for the second quarter totaled $30,625 for 28 students.
– This summer, 6 nursing students and 1 medical assisting student graduated from Daytona College who were recipients of the CM Fike II Memorial Scholarship. We are so proud of these graduates.
– Open Minds Align Foundation awarded the C. M. Fike II Scholarships totaling $73,250 to sixty-four students attending college in Florida and Utah.
– Open Minds Align Foundation awarded the C. M. Fike II Memorial Scholarships totaling $75,750 to sixty-three students attending college in Florida.

Step 3 is our favorite too! Sounds cliche, but we’re not kidding. Once we’ve received your completed application, acceptance letter, and term schedule, we’ll get started on matching you with the right scholarship.
Make sure to attach them both because we need them to make all of this work. There are fields on the bottom of the application to upload and attach each of them.
Please fill out the entirety of the application to the best of your ability. All of the fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required. Don’t forget to upload and attach a copy of both your college acceptance letter and term schedule at the bottom of the application.
